Shelter Tales is now offered from 10:00am-11:00am. If you are a returning student, please note that the program no longer starts at 9:30am.
Shelter Tales is an exciting program held on the first and third Saturday of each month from 10:00am-11:00am. This program offers children ages 8-12 the opportunity to earn community service hours by reading to shelter dogs and cats at our Lantos Center for Compassion. This enriching opportunity for both youth and adoptable animals is aimed at boosting humane education and soothing pets in the presence of children. *For the safety of child guests and shelter animals, program participants are not allowed inside the doggy dorms or kitty condos during the program.
All purchases are final and no refunds are available upon cancellation.
